Title:	Eine feste Verbindung zwischen den kanadischen Provinzen New Brunswick und Prince Edward Island: Das Northumberland Strait Crossing Project.
Abstract:	Es wird vom Entwurf und Bau einer 12,9 km langen Brücke zur Verbindung der Insel Prince Edward Island mit dem kanadischen Festland berichtet. Dabei wird auf die wichtigsten Vorgaben und Randbedingungen bei der Entwicklung zum Ausführungsentwurf eingegangen. Die Art der Herstellung mit Großfertigteilen in einer Feldfabrik an Land sowie die Montage der Teile auf offener See mit einem Schwimmkran werden erläutert. Auf die besondere Art der Verwirklichung dieses Bauwerks als BOT-Projekt (Built-Operate-Transfer) wird hingewiesen. Abschließend wird vom Stand der Arbeiten berichtet.
