Abstract:	Kritische Betrachtung des im Jahr 1978 nach DIN 488 eingeführten Prüfverfahrens für Betonstähle, welches nur für die Bestimmung des Dauerschwingfestigkeitskennwerts der "unendlich oft" ertragbaren Schwingbreite geeignet ist. Für realistischere und wirtschaftlichere Annahmen der Wechselbelastung sollte vom Konzept der konstanten Oberbespannung abgegangen werden und statt dessen eine zugrunde zu legende Mittelspannung geprüft werden.
