Abstract:	Die neue Straßenbrücke über den Severn River weist eine Gesamtlänge von 864 m auf. Der über 17 Felder durchlaufende Stahlverbundüberbau überspannt mit einer Hauptöffnung von 96 m das freizuhaltende Lichtraumprofil für den Schiffsverkehr von h/b = 23/43 m. Das neue Bauwerk ist die erste amerikanische Brücke, die in diesem Jahrhundert nach einem internationalen Ingenieurwettbewerb gebaut wurde.
