Abstract:	Im Zuge der Neutrassierung der Staatsstraße S 177 als Westumgehung Pirna wird der Bau einer neuen Elbebrücke erforderlich. Die neue Elbebrücke Pirna überquert dabei die Elbe, ein Zellstoffwerk und mehrere Gleise der Deutschen Bahn AG. Die Gesamtlänge der Brücke beträgt 1071,50 m, die Hauptöffnung über die Elbe ist 134 m lang. Der ausgeführte Entwurf wurde aus zehn Gestaltungsvorschlägen, die fünf Ingenieurbüros im Auftrag des Straßenbauamtes Dresden erarbeitet hatten, von einer Auswahl- und Bewertungskommission einstimmig ausgewählt.
