Abstract:	Die Donaustadtbrücke ist Wiens erste Schrägkabelbrücke über den Donaustrom. In ihrer markanten Erscheinung bildet sie ein deutlich sichtbares Zeichen für den Willen der Stadt Wien, architektonisch anspruchsvoll gestaltete Ingenieurbauwerke zu errichten. Die Strombrücke ist eine 343 m lange Stahlkonstruktion mit einer maximalen Spannweite von 186 m über der Schiffahrtsöffnung und einer Fahrbahnbreite von 8,50 m. Der 85 m hohe A-Pylon besteht ebenfalls aus Stahl und stellt den zentralen Verankerungspunkt der in zwei Ebenen angeordneten Schrägkabel dar. Derzeit sind 4 x 5 Schrägkabel angeordnet. Für die spätere Nutzung als U-Bahnbrücke ist eine Verdoppelung der Schrägkabelanzahl vorgesehen.
