Abstract:	In (1) wurde bereits in der Kurzfassung auf die Risikominimierung durch systematische Vorerkundung und robuste Konstruktion der Tunnelvertriebsmaschinen in komplexen heterogenen Böden hingewiesen, um solche Projekte terminlich wie auch wirtschaftlich erfolgreich abzuwickeln. Der folgende Beitrag befaßt sich mit den Anforderungen an eine robuste, wartungsfreundliche Tunnelvertriebsmaschine, des weiteren mit der optimalen wirtschaftlichen Gestaltung der aus Tübbingen bestehenden Tunnelschale sowie mit der Gewährleistung der Ausbläsersicherheit.
