Abstract:	Die Anwendung der Fließgelenklehre in der Plattenberechnung ("Bruchlinientheorie") deckt nicht allein zusätzliche Tragreserven auf, sondern ermöglicht auch die Behandlung von Platten unterschiedlichster Grundrißform, Auflagerungsbedingungen und Belastungen. Allerdings erfordert sie die aufwendige Bestimmung des Bruchbildes, welches der Berechnung zugrundezulegen ist. Dies erfolgt durch Maximierung der Arbeit der äußeren bzw. Minimierung jener der inneren Kräfte im Bruchzustand, wie dies hier am Beispiel der Rechteckplatte unter Linienlast erläutert wird.
