Abstract:	Die experimentelle Tragsicherheitsbewertung von Bauwerken in situ zum Zwecke der Substanzerhaltung oder Umnutzung (EXTRA I) ist für den Hochbau eingeführt und vielfach bewährt (1). Im kooperativen Foschungsvorhaben EXTRA II wird diese Methode für den Massivbrückenbau fortentwickelt. Im Rahmen dieses Projekts ergab sich die Gelegenheit, an Bauteilen der abzubrechenden Weserwehrbrücke Drakenburg umfangreiche Probebelastungen vorzunehmen und wesentliche Fortschritte in der wissenschaftlichen Durchdringung dieser komplexen Materie zu machen. In diesem Beitrag wird über die Aufgabenstellung und Durchführung des Pilotobjekts Weserwehrbrücke Drakenburg berichtet.
