Abstract:	Für den Wiederaufbau der Frauenkirche zu Dresden wurde unter anderem auch eine Kuppel in Glockenform vorgeschlagen. Dieser Beitrag liefert in bewußt knapper Darstellung weitere Erkenntnisse zum Verständnis des Tragverhaltens einer solchen steinernen Kuppel, ohne dabei diese Tragwerksform für die Frauenkirche zu befürworten. Besonders wird der Einfluß des nachgiebigen Unterbaus berücksichtigt, was bisher nicht ausreichend geschah. Die grundlegenden Betrachtungen an Berechnungsmodellen von Teiltragwerken werden durch Ergebnisse an einem Gesamttragwerksmodell abgerundet und bestätigt.
