Abstract:	Die folgende Abhandlung ist der erste von drei Beiträgen über die Saalebrücke Beesedau und erläutert den Ausschreibungsentwurf. Im zweiten Beitrag wird auf statisch-konstruktive Besonderheiten des Bogentragwerkes und in Teil 3 auf die Ausführung eingegangen. Die Saalebrücke Beesedau überspannt die Saale einschließlich ihres Überflutungsgebietes und ist mit einer Gesamtlänge von 805 m das längste Bauwerk der Bundesautobahn A 14. Es gliedert sich in eine 310 m lange Strombrücke in Stahlverbundbauweise und in eine 495 m lange Vorlandbrücke in Spannbeton. Mit dem ungewöhnlich gestalteten Bogentragwerk stellt die Strombrücke ein markantes Erscheinungsbild dar.
