Title:	Das Forumdach des Sony Centers am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin
Abstract:	Der Mittelpunkt des Sony Centers am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin ist ein zentral angeordneter, im Grundriß elliptischer Platz, das "Forum". Dieses wird durch Portale in den Gebäuden erschlossen. Das Forum dient Veranstaltungen und soll ein neuer urbaner Anziehungspunkt für Berlin werden. Um die Nutzung des Forums auch bei schlechterem Wetter zu ermöglichen, wurde dieses mit dem "Forumdach" überdacht. Es wird über den komplexen Entwurfs- und Realisierungsprozeß dieses außergewöhnlichen Dachtragwerks berichtet. Dabei ist insbesondere die alternierende Anordnung von Glasscheiben und Membran auf einem Seiltragwerk von 102 m Spannweite bemerkenswert.
