Abstract:	Es wird über die kombinierte, doppelseitige Eisenbahn- und vierspurige Autobahnquerung über die feste Öresundverbindung zwischen Dänemark und Schweden berichtet. Die Tunnel, Brücken und Landgewinnungsmaßnahmen stellen eine bedeutende Ingenieurleistung am Ende dieses Jahrhunderts dar. Die Straßen- und Schienenquerung des Öresund erstreckt sich über knapp 16 km, wobei die Linienführung als durchgehendes Element aus drei Hauptbestandteilen, Tunnel, künstliche Insel und Brücken besteht. Das prognostizierte Verkehrsaufkommen von allein 10000 Fahrzeugen pro Tag läßt eine rasche Entwicklung eines Industrie- und Dienstleistungszentrums auf beiden Seiten des Öresund erwarten.
