Abstract:	Brände in Verkehrstunneln wie 1996 im Eurotunnel und 1999 im Montblanc-Tunnel und Tauerntunnel stellen ein großes Sicherheitsrisiko dar. Bei der Beurteilung des Brandverhaltens der Auskleidung steht der Personenschutz und die Wiederinstandsetzungsmöglichkeit im Vordergrund. Anhand von Forschungsergebnissen und der Reparaturarbeiten im Eurotunnel werden die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen des Einsatzes von Stahlfaserspritzbeton zur Minimierung von Abplatzungen infolge Brandeinwirkung aufgezeigt.
