Abstract:	Rund 30 Jahre plante die Stadt Ingolstadt den Bau einer 3. Donaubrücke. 1933 wurde schließlich ein Realisierungswettbewerb durchgeführt, 1998 wurde die neue Glacisbrücke Ingolstadt dem Verkehr übergeben. Der Entwurf ist charakteristisch durch eine auf Seilen aufgeständerte Fahrbahn aus Stahlbeton und den seitlich abgehängten Fuß- und Radwegen, die dem Verlauf der Unterspannseile folgen. Im Tragwerk sind Sprengwerk und Spannbänder kombiniert. Die Glacisbrücke wurde mit dem Deutschen Ingenieurbaupreis 1998 des Verlages Ernst & Sohn ausgezeichnet.
