Abstract:	Betonschwellen sind ein sensibles Serienerzeugnis. Ob als Zwei- oder Einblockschwelle, als Spannbetonschwelle mit sofortigem oder nachträglichem Verbund gefertigt, als Einzelschwelle aus der Form oder als Abschnitt vom "Band", ob "naturerhärtet" (mit Wärmeglocke aus Hydrationswärmestau) oder wärmebehandelt, ob im Joch vorverbunden oder einzeln verlegt, die Bewährung folgt im Langzeittest bzw. unter Nutzungsbedingungen, fern von der Korrigierbarkeit der stofflich-technologischen Einflußgrößen. Stets ist es vorrangig der Beton, der die Dauerhaftigkeit des Schwellenkörpers gewährleistet oder begrenzt. Heute reichen Erkenntnisse und Erfahrungen aus, um langzeitstabile Spannbetonschwellen unter verschiedensten stofflich-technologischen Bedingungen herzustellen.
