Abstract:	Die Entwicklung des Stahlbrückenbaues der DDR wird anhand zweier den Stahlbrückenbau dominierender Elemente, der orthotropen Platte und des Stahlverbunds, dargelegt. Dabei werden die einzelnen Entwicklungsstufen beschrieben und charakteristische Bauwerke vorgestellt. Der erste Teil des Aufsatzes ist den Bauwerken mit orthotroper Platte gewidmet, und im zweiten Teil wird die Stahlverbundbauweise, einschließlich der in großem Umfang eingesetzten Fertigteilplatten, behandelt.
