Abstract:	Im Zuge des Neubaus der Bundesautobahn A38 von Göttingen nach Halle wird der Bau einer Brücke über das Thyratal erforderlich. Der folgende Aufsatz behandelt die im Rahmen der Vorplanung und der Entwurfsplanung untersuchten Varianten des 1115 m langen Bauwerkes, welches das längste Brückenbauwerk der neuen Autobahn sein wird. Im Bereich des Thyratales verläuft die Trasse in landschaftlich reizvoller Umgebung und überquert dabei zu schützende Hangbereiche und Fließgewässer. Für den Bauwerksentwurf wurde ein Durchlaufträger über 13 Felder mit konstanter Überbauhöhe und einteiligem Stahlverbund-Querschnitt ausgewählt.
