Ernst & Sohn is supporting the Engineers without Borders Germany project Water Tanks for Tanzania.

The goal of the project is to build together with the non-governmental organization Mavuno 60 closed water tanks to collect water during the rainy season in order to provide a yearround access to clean water.

The users of the tanks are actively involved in the construction and contribute with work and money to the overall costs. With the construction of one water tank roundabout four families or 28 persons gain permanent access to clean water. Positive side effects next to the improvement of the overall situation: Children can go to school and adults have more time to earn money as the time-consuming purchase of water from faraway water sources is been replaced.

We wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our readers and authors!
