Abstract:	DIN 4102-4 wird um Brandschutzregeln zu zweischaligem Mauerwerk mit oder ohne Dämmschicht ergänzt. Aufgrund der heute geltenden Vorschriften zum Wärmeschutz werden die Dämmschichten zwischen den zwei Schalen von Außenwänden aus Mauerwerk immer dicker. Aus Gründen der Wirtschaftlichkeit werden häufig brennbare Dämmungen gewählt. In allen Landesbauordnungen werden schon immer brandschutztechnische Anforderungen an Außenwände gestellt. Brandschutznachweise dazu waren aber nicht geregelt. Es wurde daher eine Brandprüfung in der MFPA Leipzig (Gesellschaft für Materialforschung und Prüfungsanstalt für das Bauwesen Leipzig mbH) an einer realen Fassade durchgeführt, um auch Regeln für zweischalige Außenwände mit brennbarer Dämmung aufnehmen zu können. Im Beitrag wird über die Brandprüfung berichtet, und es werden die Diskussionen zu dem Ergebnis sowie die Festlegungen und Randbedingungen zur Ausführung vorgestellt. Combustible insulation materials are widely used. Information about the fire behavior of that type of construction (especially flame transfer through the cavity) was not available. A fire test on a typical cavity-wall structure was carried out at MFPA Leipzig. Test results are presented and conclusions are given. Additional rules for the evaluation of cavity walls in DIN 4102-4 are presented.
