Abstract:	Im August 1991 brach bei einer Prüfung zum Tiefenabsenken eine Zellenwand der Betonplattform Sleipner A bei Stavanger. Dieser Bruch führte zu einer Leckage und zum Sinken der Plattform innerhalb von 18 Minuten, beim Aufschlag am Meeresboden wurde die Plattform vollständig zerstört. In einer Schadensanalyse erläutern die Autoren die grundsätzlichen Fehler in der Berechnung und vor allem in der bewehrungstechnischen Konstruktion, die bei sorgfältiger Arbeitsweise hätten vermieden werden können.
