Abstract:	Dem thermischen Verhalten des Gebäudes außerhalb der Heizperiode wird in der derzeit gültigen Wärmeschutzverordnung relativ wenig Beachtung geschenkt. Das Raumklima im Sommer und damit der sommerliche Wärmeschutz gewinnt jedoch mit zunehmender Verminderung des Heizwärmebedarfs verstärkt an Bedeutung. So führt der vor allem im Nichtwohngebäudebereich häufig anzutreffende Trend zu möglichst großen Fensterflächen teilweise zu untragbaren thermischen Verhältnissen im Sommer. Deshalb sind im Rahmen der Vorarbeiten der neuen Energieeinsparverordnung zwei Nachweisverfahren zur Bewertung des sommerlichen Wärmeschutzes entwickelt worden, die es ermöglichen, das thermische Verhalten von Gebäuden im Sommerfall zu quantifizieren.
