Abstract:	Bei Planung und Entwurf der Brücke wurde besonders auf eine ästhetisch befriedigende Einpassung in das Maintal geachtet. Die Stützen an der 135 m weiten Flussöffnung wurden als V-Stützen mit Gelenken ausgeführt, um die Brücke in ferner Zukunft durch Querverschub erneuern zu können.
