Abstract:	Nach einer prinzipiellen Beurteilung der Wirkung der Wärmedurchgangskoeffizienten auf den Wärmestrom wird anhand von vier Gebäuden die Wirkung des Wärmedurchgangskoeffizienten auf die sommerlichen Raumtemperaturen unter Verwendung einer Übertemperaturgradtagzahl dargestellt. Es zeigt sich, daß die Häufigkeit und Intensität einer Überschreitung der Raumtemperatur von 26 °C mit zunehmendem Wärmeschutz in allen Fällen deutlich abnimmt. Eine Verbesserung des baulichen Wärmeschutzes erhöht somit auch die Behaglichkeit im Sommer.
