Abstract:	Seit Anfang der sechziger Jahre kommt die unter dem Namen Wärmedämm-Verbundsystem (WDVS) bekannte Außendämmung von Wänden zur Anwendung. Zunächst nur mit Polystyrol-Hartschaum als Dämmung in Verbindung mit Kunstharzputzen bekannt, werden heute auch hydrophobierte Mineralwolleplatten und mineralische Putze, neuerdings auch keramische Bekleidungen verwendet. Dieses Dämmsystem hat sich in den vergangenen Jahzehnten nicht nur zur Sanierung von Altbauten, wondern auch im Neubaubereich bewährt. Es ist eine wirtschaftliche Maßnahme zur Erzielung hoher Wärmedämmung mit geringer Schadensquote.
