Abstract:	Ist es wirklich gerechtfertigt, die Schalldämmung von gemauerten Wänden so zu berechnen, als ob es sich um dünne homogene Platten handelt? In einigen Fällen scheint dies gut zu gehen, man darf über die Inhomogenitäten (Stoß- und Lagerfugen, Steinhohlräume) mitteln, d. h. "homogenisieren". In anderen Fällen jedoch scheitert man damit; Dickenresonanzen, Putzschichten, Lochbild und periodische Struktur wollen gebührend berücksichtigt werden, und zwar besonders bei höheren Frequenzen. Wie welche Fälle zu behandeln sind, wird anhand einiger Methoden zur Homogenisierung sowie zur Berechnung der Schalldämmung periodischer und geschichteter Strukturen erläutert.
