Abstract:	Die von F. Hennebique 1911 entworfene und von einem italienischen Bauunternehmen errichtete Risorgimentobrücke über den Tiber in Rom erregte schon bald nach ihrer Einweihung die Gemüter der Fachwelt, da ihre projektierte Tragfähigkeit angezweifelt wurde. Die Brücke mit bogenförmig aufgelöstem Stahlbetonhohlkastenquerschnitt und 100 m Spannweite wurde bei Nachrechnungen zunächst als in die Widerlager eingespannter Balken interpretiert. Die durch Probebelastungen bestätigte Tragfähigkeit würde aber an der Einspannstelle erheblich höhere Bewehrungsmengen erfordern, als tatsächlich vorhanden. Die Tragwirkung der Brücke kann deshalb nur auf Grundlage eines gelenklosen Stützlinienboges interpretiert werden.
