Abstract:	In den letzten drei Jahrzehnten wurden in Deutschland einige außergewöhnliche Fußgängerbrücken errichtet. Viele dieser Bauwerke zeichnen sich durch die gekonnte, häufig auch innovative Verwendung relativ "teurer" Komponenten, wie z. B. aufwendige Seilwerke, Gußteile oder konische Rohre aus. Der Gebrauch derartiger Konstruktionselemente fand viele Nachahmer, wobei das Resultat nicht immer die damit verbunden Kosten gerechtfertigt erscheinen läßt. In Zeiten wirtschaftlicher Bedrängnisse ist es deshalb ein wesentliches Anliegen dieses Aufsatzes, am Beispiel zu zeigen, wie auch mit knappsten Mitteln elegante, repräsentative und funktionale Fußgängerbrücken erbaut werden können.
