Abstract:	Vorgestellt wird die Stahlwasserbau-Ausrüstung des Karakaya-Dammes in Konstruktion, Fertigung und Montage. Interessantestes Bauteil ist hierbei der Grundablaß, der aufgrund seiner Abmessungen und Belastung zu den größten der Welt gehört. Hydrodynamische Belastungen und Konstruktionsdetails wurden durch Modellversuche überprüft. Bedingt durch tiefbauliche Zwänge mußte ein ungewöhnliches Hubstangensystem für die Einlaufdammbalken gewählt werden.
