Abstract:	Berichtet wird über die Erfahrungen bei der Projektierung von Verbreiterungen und Sanierungen von Stahlbrücken und über die Erfahrungen der Ausführung der Arbeiten. Es zeigt sich, daß "einfache Sanierbarkeit" und "Flexibilität" nicht nur Schlagworte des Stahlbaus sind, sondern daß sich diese in der Praxis besonders im Hinblick auf die Kosten sehr positiv bestätigt haben. Die oft zitierte Überlegenheit der Dauerhaftigkeit der Betonkonstruktionen gegenüber Stahlbaukonstruktionen muß relativiert werden. Die gezeigten Beispiele demonstrieren, daß Stahlhauptkonstruktionen nach Jahrzehnten in einem vergleichweise besseren Zustand sind als die Fahrbahnen aus Stahlbeton.
