Title:	Die Bauten der Weltausstellung 1889 in Paris.
Abstract:	Die Pariser Weltausstellung von 1889 spiegelte die wissenschaftlich-technische Entwicklung des 19. Jahrhunderts wider. Die Ausstellungsbauten stellen einen Höhepunkt der Errichtung von Stahlbauten dar. Nicht nur der Eiffelturm ist bis heute ein außergewöhnliches Bauwerk. Auch die verschiedenen Ausstellungshallen sind aus heutiger Sicht hinsichtlich ihrer Ausführung und besonders ihrer Abmessungen bemerkenswert. In architektonischer Hinsicht wurde die Große Maschinenhalle ein erstes Abbild modernen Hallenbaus. Der Turm und die Halle lösten heftige Diskussionen in der Öffentlichkeit und unter den Architekten aus, die bis heute noch nicht völlig beendet sind.
