Abstract:	Ausgehend davon, daß rechteckige Hohlprofile gegenüber offenen Profilen technische und wirtschaftliche Vorteile bieten, z. B. günstige Anschlußflächen und geringere Wartungsoberfläche, sollte durch praxisnahe Versuche die Brauchbarkeit von Hohlprofilen als Kranbahnträger ermittelt werden. Dazu wurden an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum acht Träger mit zwei unterschiedlichen Längen und drei verschiedenen Schienen untersucht. Um die zu erwartende Querbiegung unter der Lasteinleitung zu vermindern, wurde ein Versuchsträger betongefüllt. Es konnte eine hohe Tragfähigkeit und eine weitgehende Unempfindlichkeit gegen zusätzliche Horizontallasten festgestellt werden.
