Abstract:	Behandelt werden die Hauptursachen für das Entstehen von Verformungen an der Form von Mänteln zylindrischer Stahlbehälter. Das Beseitigen dieser Verformungen erweist sich dann als notwendig, wenn an den Mantelblechen scharfe Knicke auftreten, oder wenn die Verformungen das Sichverlagern des Schwimmdaches verhindern. Es wird darauf hingewiesen, warum die Beseitigung von Deformationen an der Mantelform, technisch gesehen, ein schwieriges Vorhaben ist. Überdies werden Konzeption der Instandsetzung und Reparaturablauf von zwei Behältern erörtert.
