Abstract:	Die Erweiterung des S-Bahn-Streckennetzes des Rhein-Main-Gebiets in Richtung Hanau erforderte eine neue Mainbrücke. Aus wirtschaftlichen, aber auch aus gestalterischen Gründen sollte neben den bestehenden Fachwerkbrücken ein Stabbogen gebaut werden. Die gesamte Konstruktion - Versteifungsträger wie Bögen - ist voll geschweißt. Neuartig ist die Fahrbahnkonstruktion, die nur aus einem Deckblech und Querrippen besteht. Die Vormontage erfolgte auf Hilfsgerüsten am Land parallel zum Ufer. Der Überbau wurde um den Trennpfeiler auf der Steinheimer Seite drehend mittels Ponton auf die Hanauer Seite eingeschwommen.
