Abstract:	Die neue Brücke über den "Grand Canal Maritim" bei Le Havre ist 1410 m lang. Sie verläuft im Grundriß einem Bogen folgend von den Ufern, die kaum höher liegen als der Wasserspiegel der Schiffahrtstraße, mit einer Gradiente, die in der Mitte eine Höhe von 57 m über dem Wasser besitzt. Das Stahlbauwerk, dessen Montagestöße durchgehend geschweißt sind, wiegt 10000 t. Es ist mit seiner Mittelöffnung ein einzigartiges Beispiel für die Ausführung eines Sprengewerks mit einer Stützweite von 275 m. Im Aufsatz werden die konstruktive Durchbildung, die Überlegungen zur Montage, das hierfür entwickelte Gerät, der Montageverlauf sowohl für die Vorlandüberbauten in Verbundbauweise als auch für den Mittelteil des Bauwerks mit seinen charakteristischen schrägen Streben und den darüberführenden zentralen Überbau mit orthotroper Platte von 140 m Länge und 1400 t Gewicht geschildert.
