Title:	Titelbild: Mauerwerk 2/2001
Abstract:	Die Stadt Düsseldorf entwickelt Teile des alten Rheinhafens zu einem modernen Büro- und Wohnstandort - der Medienmeile. Der neue Zollhof von Frank O. Gehry symbolisiert individuelle Schaffenskraft und gesellschaftlichen Wandel. Nicht zuletzt stellt die choreografische Gestaltung höchste Anforderungen an die Konstruktion. Die zweischaligen Fassaden bestehen in der Hintermauerschale aus flächig tragenden Betonwänden zu 60 % aus Fertigteilen und zu 40 % aus Ortbeton. Die Vorsatzschale wurde dagegen aus handelsüblichen Backsteinen handwerklich gemauert.
