Abstract:	In einer historischen Skizze wir der Versuch unternommen, die Entwicklungslinien der Statik bzw. der Baustatik im Hinblick auf ihr Verhältnis zum historisch erreichten Stand der Bautechnik zu verdeutlichen. Es wird gezeigt, daß die Bautechnik zwar nicht immer unmittelbar die Entwicklungsrichtung der Statik bzw. Baustatik bestimmte, aber doch gleichsam über historische Räume fernwirkend-zeitverschoben wirksam wurde.
