Abstract:	Ausgehend von den energieversorgungstechnischen Vorüberlegungen und volkswirtschaftlichen Vorgaben, die zu dem Entschluss führten ein Pumpspeicherwerk im Spessart zu bauen wird anschliessend über die technische Realisierung des Projekts berichtet. Es werden die angetroffenen fels- und bodenmechanischen Verhältnisse geschildert, die Ausführung des Staudammes erläutert und die technischen Einrichtungen wie Triebwasserleitung und Turbinenhaus beschrieben.
