Abstract:	Eine neue Materialeffizienz steht im Mittelpunkt von elf Fachbeiträgen namhafter Autoren, die zur Konstruktion der aktuellen Glasarchitektur berichten: Leichte Tragstrukturen und lastabtragende Verglasungen stehen für innovative Transparenz, kalt und warm gebogenes Glas für komplexe Geometrien. Die Klebetechnik als Fügeverfahren der Zukunft ermöglicht hybride Bauteile. Weiterer Schwerpunkt ist die Vorstellung neuer Projekte des Konstruktiven Glasbaus in Europa und in Amerika. Der Bundesverband Flachglas und der Fachverband Konstruktiver Glasbau benennen einleitend Aufgaben und Ziele der aktuellen Verbandsarbeit. Ein Rückblick auf die BAU 2009, ein Bericht der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen und drei Buchrezensionen beschließen das Heft. Das Stahlbau Spezial erschien zur glasbau2009, die am 03.04.09 an der Technischen Universität Dresden statt fand. Structural Glazing 2009 A new material efficiency will be the focus in eleven expert contributions by renowned authors reporting on the construction of the latest glass architecture.
