Abstract:	Es wird die Verwendbarkeit zweidimensionaler Strömungsfunktionen zur Behandlung des Überfallproblems (freier Überfall mit Kreisformgrundriss und Kelchüberfall für den Fall des Bemessungsabflusses) allgemein aufgezeigt. Die Berücksichtigung des Einlaufverlustes erlaubt es, den Zusammenhang zwischen angenommener Potentialströmung im Bereich des Überfallscheitels und der tatsächlichen Strömung im Überfallstrahl herzustellen.
