Abstract:	Im Jahre 2006 hat Mario Bellini den Architekturwettbewerb für die Sanierung der Firmenzentrale der Deutschen Bank AG in Frankfurt am Main gewonnen. Unter seiner Leitung ist in der Eingangshalle eine herausragende Skulptur entstanden. Die Sphäre - der architektonische Mittelpunkt des neu gestalteten Foyers zwischen den beiden Türmen, symbolisiert Stabilität und Stärke, aber zugleich auch Dynamik und Wandel. Der Entwurf des Architekten sah eine 16 m durchmessende Kugel vor, die mit Bändern umwickelt zu sein scheint und zwischen den beiden Türmen der Bank klemmt. Dieses Konzept wurde durch ein interdisziplinäres Team bestehend aus dem verantwortlichen Entwurfsarchitekt Giulio Castegini (Mario Bellini Architects), den Ingenieuren Oliver Tessmann und Mark Fahlbusch (Bollinger Grohmann Ingenieure) und Oliver Drawer der ausführenden Firma (Arnold AG) weiterentwickelt.
