Das Konstruktionsprinzip der VFT-Bauweise mit Walzträgern in Beton (VFT-WIB) kommt in Europa und vor allem in Deutschland und Polen häufig zum Einsatz. Der Neubau der Brücke südwestlich der Stadt Elblg in Polen führt das Konstruktionsprinzip weiter. Die Schnittführung der Walzträger wird so gewählt, dass in Feldmitte und im Stützbereich unterschiedliche Stahlsteghöhen entstehen. Diese Idee birgt statisch-konstruktiv den Vorteil, die Schubkräfte und Biegemomente im Träger effektiv abzutragen. Die Weiterentwicklung wird anhand der Brücke Elblg beschrieben, konstruktive Details beleuchtet und die Wirtschaftlichkeit der Bauweise diskutiert.

Composite bridge nearby Elblg - Enhancements of the PrecoBeam construction method.
The design principle of the PrecoBeam construction method using rolled sections (VFT-WIB) is well established in Europe, especially in Germany and Poland. The reconstruction of the bridge southwest of the city of Elblg in Poland enhances the construction method. The cutting line of the rolled section implements a varying height of the steel web for the midfield and near the support. This idea creates design principles which allow an effective flow of the shear forces and the bending moments in the girders. The enhancement and constructional details are highlighted by the means of Elblg viaduct. Also economic aspects are discussed.
