Abstract:	Deutschland ist in Bewegung gekommen: Immer mehr Menschen zieht es in die Ballungszentren und Städte. Gleichzeitig stehen wir vor der Herausforderung, knapp 1 Mio. Zuwanderer mit Wohnraum zu versorgen. Hier hat sich inzwischen ein enormer Nachfragedruck aufgebaut. Seit vielen Jahren wurde im bezahlbaren Mietwohnungsbau zu wenig gebaut. Um wachsenden Wohnungsengpässen zu begegnen, müssen alle Möglichkeiten ausgelotet werden. Bestehende Standards, Vergabestrukturen, baurechtliche Rahmenbedingungen werden hinterfragt, Planungs- und Genehmigungsprozesse müssen beschleunigt werden. Vor allem aber gilt es, innovative Baukonzepte zu entwickeln, mit denen Wohnungen in größerer Stückzahl und angemessener architektonischer Qualität errichtet werden können. Moderne serielle Fertigungsweisen und eine stärkere Industrialisierung des Wohnungsbaus bieten hierzu den Schlüssel. At the same time, we face the challenge of supplying almost one million immigrants with living space. In the meantime, an enormous demand for living space has grown here. For many years, too little was put in affordable rental housing construction. In order to meet growing housing bottlenecks, all possibilities must be explored. Existing standards, tender, basic building laws and regulations are being questioned, planning and approval processes must be accelerated. Above all, it is important to develop innovative construction concepts that can be used to build apartments in larger numbers and with adequate architectural quality. Modern serial production methods and a stronger industrialization of housing construction offer the key to this.
