Demolition and reconstruction of the ÖBB Ennsbrücke in Ardning, Austria. The demolition and reconstruction of the ÖBB Ennsbrücke in Ardning, Styria, along the railway line Linz-Selzthal at km 101, 121 is carried out during a shutdown of the Bosruck Tunnel. This shutdown allows the dismantling of the old bridge erected in 1905. The new bridge is designed to meet the new impacts of upcoming traffic loads and improves the comfort for the travelers due to the new road bed. Both the planned construction in the final bridge position and the tight time frames cause major challenges for all parties involved. Due to these constraints a design process is initiated to come up with an alternative erection method. |
