Development of a thermal insulation plaster with natural fibres and the investigation of its heat and moisture behaviour. The main aim of this joint project of the TU Brno and TU Wien was to develop plaster recipes (heat insulation plaster) with embedded plant and animal fibres or cellulose fibres from the paper industry. This should meet the ecological requirements and performing favourable physical and mechanical characteristics of building constructions. The physical performance of the buildings, the thermal and mechanical fundamental properties and also moisture behaviour of the developed plasters were investigated. The investigations showed very good results of the mechanical properties and moisture behaviour. After development and determination the material data these were integrated into the WUFI database. Further a special developed plaster from the series (sheep wool and goat hair) was analysed and evaluated under real conditions, according to heat insulation properties and moisture behaviour. The new plaster was applied to a real refurbishment, the situation reproduced in a WUFI simulation and experimentally as calculative investigated. The simulations and the measurements showed a very positive behaviour. |
