Abstract:	Mit der Neuordnung des Regelwerks im Jahr 2003 des Brücken- und Ingenieurbaus war es das erklärte Ziel, die Allgemeinen Rundschreiben Straßenbau (ARS) im Entwurfsbereich des Brücken-, Tunnel- und Ingenieurbaus des Bundesministeriums für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur (BMVI) in ein kompaktes Regelwerk zu überführen - die Richtlinien für den Entwurf, die konstruktive Ausbildung und Ausstattung von Ingenieurbauten (kurz: RE-ING). Die RE-ING gelten für Planung, Entwurf, konstruktive Ausbildung und Ausstattung von Ingenieurbauwerken in der Baulast des Bundes. Sie bündeln zum einen die Entwurfs- und Konstruktionsanforderungen für Ingenieurbauwerke der Bundesfernstraßen, die bisher in verschiedenen Allgemeinen Rundschreiben Straßenbau veröffentlicht wurden, und bilden zum anderen ein umfassendes Werk für die Planung, den Entwurf, die konstruktive Durchbildung sowie die Ausstattung von Ingenieurbauwerken. Hierzu zählen auch Verstärkungsmaßnahmen an bestehenden Bauwerken. In einem ersten Schritt wurden Verwaltungsanweisungen, Gestaltung sowie umfassende konstruktive Grundsätze, die Durchbildung sowie Ausstattungsmerkmale inklusive der Verfahrensweise bei der Planung von integralen Brücken eingeführt. Planning principles for engineering structures - introduction of the RE-ING When the set of regulations on bridge construction and civil engineering was reorganized in 2003, it was the stated aim to merge the Road Construction General Circulars (ARS) published by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) on the design of bridges, tunnels as well as engineering structures into a compact set of regulations, i. e. the RE-ING (Guidelines for the design, constructive design and equipment of engineering structures). The RE-ING apply to the planning, design, constructive design and equipment of engineering structures for which the Federal Government is responsible. On the one hand, they pool the design and structural design requirements for engineering structures along federal trunk roads that have been published in the different Road Construction General Circulars so far; on the other hand, they form a comprehensive work for the planning, design, constructive detailing as well as the equipment of engineering structures. Among these are also measures to reinforce existing structures. As a first step, administrative instructions, layout and comprehensive construction principles, detailing as well as equipment characteristics, including procedures for planning integral bridges, were introduced.
