Title:	Willy Gehler - Versuch einer Einordnung - Workshop und Ausstellung zu Leben und Wirken eines umstrittenen Hochschullehrers und Stahlbetonpioniers
Abstract:	Im Rahmen des durch die DFG geförderten Projekts Willy Gehler (1876-1953) - Spitzenforschung, politische Selbstmobilisierung und historische Rezeption eines bedeutenden Bauingenieurs und Hochschullehrers im “Jahrhundert der Extreme” luden das Institut für Massivbau und der Lehrstuhl für Technikgeschichte der TU Dresden am 11.04.2017 zum gemeinsamen Workshop unter dem Titel: Willy Gehler - Versuch einer zeitgenössischen Einordnung mit anschließender Ausstellungseröffnung ein. Aufbauend auf einer Projektvorstellung bietet nachfolgender Beitrag einen Überblick über Konzept, Umsetzung und Ergebnisse dieses Workshops und darüber, was den Besucher in der dazugehörenden Ausstellung erwartet. Willy Gehler - a characterization of his personality and professional achievements Within the project Willy Gehler (1876-1953) - edge research, political self-mobilization and historical assessment of an important civil engineer and professor in “the century of extremes” the Institute for Concrete Structures and the Chair of History of Technology and Technological Sciences of the TU Dresden invited to the workshop Willy Gehler - a characterization of his personality and professional achievements on 11th April 2017. At the end of that day, an exhibition was opened as well. The report gives an overview about the concept, the implementation and results of the workshop after a short overview about the project.
