Herrn Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rolf Kindmann zur Vollendung seines 70. Lebensjahres gewidmet
Aufgrund des erhöhten Verkehrsaufkommens werden Brücken hinsichtlich ihrer Tragfähigkeit, Gebrauchstauglichkeit und Dauerhaftigkeit überprüft. Entsprechende Untersuchungen haben ergeben, dass die Lennetalbrücke im Zuge der A45 bei Hagen aufgrund des Tragwerkzustandes durch einen Neubau zu ersetzen ist, der zukünftig auch einen sechsstreifigen Ausbau der Autobahn gewährleistet. Seit September 2013 finden die Baustellenarbeiten an der neuen Brücke statt. In Fahrtrichtung Frankfurt a. M. ist neben der eigentlichen Trassenführung einer von zwei Überbauten auf Behelfspfeilern errichtet worden, der zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt quer eingeschoben werden soll. Mit einer Überbaulänge von ca. 1 000 m kann der geplante Querverschub als der “größte” betrachtet werden, den es bis zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt in Deutschland gegeben hat.

Replacement of the Lennetal Viaduct, Germany - Lateral shift of a composite superstructure in a new dimension.
Due to an increase of traffic, bridges are being reviewed regarding their capacity at the ultimate and serviceability limit states as well as their durability. Corresponding investigations have come to the conclusion that the Lennetal Viaduct, which is located close to the city of Hagen within the freeway A45, has to be replaced. In doing so, the bridge is supposed to assure the development of six traffic lanes in future. The work at the construction site for the new bridge is being carried into execution since 2013. A new superstructure has been erected on temporary piers next to the original alignment of the freeway for the traffic directing to the city of Frankfurt a. M. Exhibiting a total length of approx. 1 000 m, the superstructure is supposed to be shifted laterally in its final position. With this, the intended shift can be considered as the “largest” one, which has been carried out in Germany up to now.
