Abstract:	Die instrumentierte Bauwerksüberwachung erweitert die Möglichkeiten eines Ingenieurs hinsichtlich der Beurteilung von Tragwerken. Dabei ist dieses Werkzeug als Ergänzung zu anderen Prüfungen zu sehen, nicht als Alternative, da der Fokus der Messungen auf kurz- und langfristigen Veränderungen am Bauwerk liegt und nicht auf der Erfassung des Ist-Zustands. Besonders bei historischen Bauten bieten sich entsprechende Überwachungen an, da zweifelsohne eine langfristige Erhaltung angestrebt ist. Die Autoren beschreiben in dem Artikel zuerst allgemein die Einbettung der Bauwerksüberwachung in die Bauwerksprüfung, gefolgt von einigen Überlegungen zu Monitoring an historischen Bauten. Zur Illustration wird dieses am Beispiel der instrumentierten Dauerüberwachung des Sommerrefektoriums im Kloster Bebenhausen gezeigt. Instrumented monitoring in the context of historic structures Instrumented monitoring broadens the possibilities of an engineer regarding the assessment of structures. This instrument is rather to be seen as addition to other evaluation methods than as replacement, because the measurement focus rests on short- and long-term changes of the structure and not on the identification of the present situation. Such monitoring realisations are especially suited for historic structures, where a lasting building preservation is aspired without doubt. We first present in this article the general context of building monitoring within the toolbox of building inspection, followed by some thoughts on monitoring of historic structures. This is for illustration done on the example of an instrumented monitoring of the summer refectory at the Bebenhausen Abbey.
