Abstract:	Herrn Professor Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Schnell zu seinem 65. Geburtstag gewidmet “Die Zukunft kommt in Raten. Das macht es leichter, mit ihr zurechtzukommen. Aber sie kommt. Deshalb ist der Blick nach vorn lohnend. Was bringt die Zukunft für das Bauwesen?” - Mit diesen Worten beginnt in der Festschrift zum 100jährigen Bestehen des DBV [1] der “Ausblick in die Zukunft”. Der Autor dieses Ausblicks war JÜRGEN SCHNELL, dem dieser Beitrag gewidmet ist. Diese Widmung erfolgt anlässlich seines 65. Geburtstages, den er im Februar 2018 feiert, und in Anerkennung seiner vielfältigen Leistungen für die Betonbauweise - sowie für den DAfStb und den DBV. Anknüpfend an die Worte des Jubilars, soll sich dieser Beitrag auch mit einem Ausblick befassen. Jedoch ausgerichtet auf die Nahperspektive - also einigen solcher Themen, die derzeit in der Betonbau-Fachwelt beraten und diskutiert werden. Current trends in concrete building technology - An outlook with short reviews “The Future is coming by installments. This makes it easier to be able to make it. But it comes. Therefore it's worth looking forward. What does the future hold for Construction?” - With these words the brochure the 100th anniversary of the German Society for Concrete and Construction Technology (DBV) “Outlook for the future” [1] is starting. The author has been JÜRGEN SCHNELL in 1998. This paper is dedicated to him on the occasion of his 65th birthday in February 2018 and in recognition of his wide-ranging achievements for concrete construction as well as for the German Committee for Structural Concrete (DAfStb) and the DBV. In connection to the above words of JÜRGEN SCHNELL this paper deals also with an outlook, but oriented towards ta near-term perspective - concerning several issues currently discussed among experts in concrete construction.
