Title:	Nutzung von BIM in der Angebotsbearbeitung - Eine Sollbruchstelle in der digitalen Prozesskette?
Abstract:	Die derzeitigen Diskussionen zur Methodik des Building Information Modeling (BIM) sind geprägt von sehr visionären und idealistischen Ansätzen. Immer wieder wird hervorgehoben, dass sich durch die BIM-Methode Daten und Informationen eines Bauprojekts über alle Phasen des Lebenszyklus modellbasiert dokumentieren, austauschen und nutzen lassen. Diese Vision ist einerseits zu begrüßen, da nur durch das Aufzeigen der vielfältigen Möglichkeiten und zukünftiger Vorteile alternativer und kollaborativer Arbeitsweisen die dringend notwendigen Veränderungsprozesse in der Bauwirtschaft angestoßen werden. Andererseits hinterlassen diese großen Bilder zukünftiger Projektrealisierungen gerade bei vielen ausführenden Unternehmen den Eindruck, dass die Ansätze mit der aktuellen Praxis nur schwer in Einklang zu bringen sind. Dennoch nutzen insbesondere Generalunternehmer seit geraumer Zeit die neuen digitalen Möglichkeiten und erstellen - unabhängig von existierenden Datenstrukturen - bereits in der Angebotsbearbeitung eigene 3-D-Modelle. Im Folgenden werden wesentliche Aspekte dieser modellbasierten Angebotsbearbeitung erläutert, um die besondere Perspektive der ausführenden Unternehmen und einhergehende Vorteile zu beschreiben. Abschließend werden zwei Wege zur Entwicklung einer konsistenten digitalen Prozesskette skizziert. Use of BIM in the tender phase - a predetermined breaking point in the digital process chain? The current discussions concerning the method of Building Information Modeling (BIM) are driven by visionary and idealistic approaches. The emphasis is placed on the opportunities offered by the model-based documentation and exchange of project data in the entire project life cycle. On the one hand this vision is important, because only the promotion of numerous advantages of alternative und collaborative methods will lead to a necessary change in the construction industry. On the other hand these big pictures of future project realisation methods leave the impression that those ideas have nothing in common with the actual situation in construction projects. However especially general contractors try to benefit from the use of digital methods and generate own 3D-models for the cost estimation - independent of existing structures. In this report the current practice of a modelbased tender phase will be described to emphasise the special view oft he construction companies and the resulting advantages. Finally two ways to ensure a consistent digital chain are briefly described.
